Advantages: tasty an moorish
Disadvantages: a bit greesy
This is another review coming from my daughters birthday party as I purchased two boxes of ritz crackers for it but only used one so nibbling some from the spare box whilst writing this! These are fab for parties as you can have them as they are or with toppings on them.
Ritz crackers come in a bright red box with the ritz logo emblazened on the front in a blue circle, they are unmissable when sitting on the shelf, and are normally found in the biscuit section of the supermarket.
I purchased my two boxes while on offer and payed £1 for both, but the standard cost is normally around 90p for a 200g box, so I got a real bargain.
The crackers themselves are sealed in a clear bag inside the box to keep them fresh, they are circular shaped and golden brown with tiny holes in them, they also have small speckles of salt covering them.
When you bite into them they appear to be made up of layers which give them a lovely crisp texture and they are quite flaky and light, the taste is hard to explain but I would have to describe them as a savoury, salty cheese taste, but very tasty and moorish.
The only downside to them is that they are a bit greesey and when you put them on a napkin for a party they will leave an oily mark there.
My favourite way of eating these is with a small dollop of cream cheese in the middle of two crackers..yummy, but they are just as nice on their own. You can also get other recipe ideas from the website www.ritzcrackers.eu if you would like to try something a little different.
Eight crackers will set you back 133 calories and 0.9g of salt.
I tink I have downed more than eight whilst writing this, well thats what I mean...very moorish, I must wrap some up and save for tommorow;)
Summary: yummy snacks
