... red strawberry pictures. I think this looks a bit cheap really, almost like a supermarket own brand, and I reckon they could do with a bit of a revamp. Inside the jar, the jam is thick and very lumpy. It has some large chewy strawberry pieces in it which I am not keen on as I personally prefer a smoother jam. It is quite sweet and tart and doesn't have the nicest taste in the world. It is a bit strong for me although I suppose some people might like this. Something else to note is that this jar of jam has gone mo...more

Premium Review Robertson's Classic Strawberry Jam: Jam Jam Glorious Jam (365 words)

Robertson's classic Strawberry Jam. Robertsons strawberry jam is red in colour, texture is thick and jelly like, tastes sweet and of strawberries also smells of strawberries. It usually has seeds from the strawberries in which I think add to the flavour but you can buy seedless which is more suitable for small children. I love to bake so use a lot of this jam in cakes, pies, puddings and roly poly robertsons is one of the nicest jams around. One of my closely guarded secrets (midnight snack food) is my cheese and jam sandwhich I don't tell many people about this as they all seem to think it's disgusting. I say don't knock it till you ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not berry nice (426 words)

I am not a massive jam-eater, but I do like a little bit sometimes. A nice thick slice of white bread with a bit of strawberry jam and maybe a couple of slices of mature cheddar cheese on top can be a lovely snack if I'm in the right move, and a piece of toast feels naked without a layer of butter and jam on top. Looking in my fridge I seem to have both a jar of Robertson's and a jar of Hartley's strawberry jam. I am not certain why I have both but I have a nagging feeling I bought the Hartley's because I am not so keen on the Robertson's! Anyway, Robertson's jam comes in a clear glass jar. It has a black and white plastic screw-top lid and a white ...  Read the complete review

I love jam, I often put it in a sandwich with ham or on toast, my favourite flavour is blackcurrant but to be honest I like them all, anything sweet and fruity is fine by me. Robertson's have been making jam for years, I remember eating this jam as a little kid and it always came in a wide range of flavours. They currently make; marmalade, raspberry jam, blackberry jam (yum!) and of course the traditional strawberry jam. Robertson's Strawberry Jam comes in a 340g jar and will cost you £1.06 in Tesco, not bad for a brand name good quality jam. The jar is a basic shape with no dips in or out. It looks a reddish brown colour because of the jam inside and there is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Robertsons go from strawberry to gooseberry (504 words)

Robertsons Jams have been going for years, I can remember them since when I was very small and that was many years past. They used to have golly badges on the back of the jars to get you to - a, buy the product and b, collect them so you could get your very own metal golly badge. Nowadays though being very politically correct they are not allowed. Shame really as I used to like the different ones you could get. Anyhow back to the jam. Robertsons over the years have changed the labels quite a bit but the jar shape I have to say has remained a constant friend in my cupboard. The new style label is pretty much what you would expect ...  Read the complete review
