Robertsons golden shred marmalade is a British staple for many on their breakfast tables, it certainly is ay my Nans house. Marmalade isa curiously British thing, its considered on the continent that we shoudl take oranges and make a conserved product, the reason is that oranges and lemons in spain and portugal are a year round crop so conserving them in another form seems silly. Marmalade as a basic is shredded orange/lemon peel, sugar, and pectin to set the marmalade. Marmalade can be smooth or shredded, the difference simply being the thickness of the peel in the product. Loving marmalade the way I do when I saw this on offer in my local Sainsbury's priced £1.00 a jar instead if it's usual price of £1.17 I simply had to try it cos I heard of the brand but never tried it and usually stick to shops own brands really! The Packaging.... 454g glass jar with black and white screw on/off lid the the top of and on that I'm told it's Robertsons and there is a tamper proof button to it that lets you know of course if it's been tampered with or opened prior to you using it by popping up and on that the best before date is clearly stamped on. There is an orange and green label around the middle of it and on that I'm told it's ... Read the complete review
