When God created the British Isles he thought, these people who will live on this small wet windswept isle really need a breakfast condiment to go with their staff of life, I've been very generous but not too generous to allow them to grow oranges or lemons but they can grow limes. However, limes are only around for a short period time so they will have to work out some way to store them. The lime marmalade was born and we had to wait until Rose's made the perfect lime marmalade in the early years of the twentieth century. Being a lover or marmalade (particularly on toast) I was really gutted when I ran out of the stuff unexpectedly! It mean I had to route through our cupboards looking for something else to spread o my toast and I came across this. This is one of my Mothers favourites so I decided to raid her pot of this and to be brave and try it lol! The Packaging.... 454g see-through glass jar which has a embossed leaf pattern on it and a gold screw on/off lid to the top of it and on that I'm told what it is and who it is by.
