I'm not too sure about eating fruit pastilles sweets proper, but Rowntree's do make excellent fruit pastille flavoured ice lollies. These are available in supermarkets in four-packs at a surprisingly variable range of prices. I've paid as little as 99p for 4 when they're on special offer, or even 99p for 6 when they were doing a 'get 50% free!' promotion last summer, but have also seen them selling at the around-two-quid mark for 4, which seems a bit pricey, until you consider that if you buy these exact same ice lollies individually from an ice-cream van, you'll be paying 80p - £1 for just one. Rowntrees sweets are delicious, so you would expect these to match the usual high quality. This is no exception, with a great taste, flavour combinations that rock and they are very refreshing. However, they are quite expensive. The packaging is very bright, so they stand out making them hard to miss on the supermarket shelf. The test is easy to read and the picture will make your mouth water. The box is easy to open, and can be used to store them afterwards. The plastic is easy to rip open, and the product is always fresh. However, the stick is very small so the lolly will usually melt and drip all over your hand, making it very sticky. ... These are my favourite ice-lollies as they are very refreshing, have wonderful fruity flavours and are even slightly thirst quenching too. You can buy them in boxes of 4, which contains 65ml lollies for around £1.60. The box is bright green with a large image of the ice-lolly as well as fruits flying around to signify the flavours. The newest lollies have the new pineapple section on the bottom. Each lolly comes individually wrapped within the box in a green plastic packet. They have the logo on them again and easily peel open at one side so you can slide of the ice-lolly (hopefully not dropping it on the floor). Each ice-lolly has a good size ... I'm not much of an ice-cream or ice lolly lover, but do partake frivolously on the odd occasion we get some warmer weather. Hence the purchase of some fruit pastille ice lollies recently... I have had these before, so they weren't exactly new to me, but their purchase is few & far between & I tend to forget in between times just how refreshing they are... Rowntrees fruit pastille lollies are of the typical format - a fruit flavoured ice treat on a wooden stick. These particular lollies contain 25% fruit juice & no artificial colours or flavours, which is quite a rarity for fruit flavoured products. There are 5 flavours in total - each ...
