Advantages: Three of the best sweets in one bag!

Disadvantages: Not especially cheap

What a great idea! I love Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles, Fruit Gums and Tooty Frooties, so this was always going to be something I would like. For those who don't know, fruit pastilles are soft, fruity sweets thickly coated in sugar (as befits a pastille). They are chewy and have pleasant flavours that taste natural. Fruit gums are harder, almost plasticky before eating, but they too have juicy and real tasting flavours. They do, however, get stuck in your teeth a lot! Tooty Frooties are small, colourful sweets that are vaguely square shaped. They consist of a crisp sheel around a substance that, in my experience, can be either chewy or crunchy depending on the temperature! The flavour of these is far less natural, in fact, they taste rather chemically, but chemically in a GOOD way, if that makes any sense!

It's mainly because of the Tooty Frooties that I buy this product. The other two kinds are available in bags of the same size, but Tooty Frooties are usually only available in very small packets suitable for giving to children. Now, if only they made 185g bags of those!

As for the price, these are a mid range product and thus are not cheap. On the other hand, they are on offer in shops near me rather fequently, so I usually get them on 2 for 1!

Some might say that three sweets does not a 'Pick & Mix' make, but I love these so much that anything else the Rowntrees range would dilute the selection as far as I am concerned. Apart, perhaps, from Jelly Tots. A few of those in here would be pretty good.

Summary: A dream come true, if you're a Rowntrees fan!

I'm not a fan of Tooty Frooties but give me the other two in gigantic proportions please!
