Advantages: Low fat, tasty

Disadvantages: Dont fill you up unless you have toppings on them

Ok, well, I remember trying Ryvita many years ago, as a way to try and lose weight. However, I remember them as really dry, little bits of cardboard with no taste. I dont know what Ryvita have done to improve them since, but I recently bought some again, and they are sooo nice now! They are really crispy, lovely, tasty seeds on tops, and they are so nice that I even eat them on their own as a light snack during the day.

As they are crispbreads, and not crackers, they dont tend to be as dry.

At lunch, they are great with low fat cream cheese, and tomato or cucumber, or cottage cheese, or salmon....the list is endless.

They range from 37 calories each for the Sesame variety, up to 57 each for the Fruit crunch, so they are a light way to help keep your calorie intake down. THey also have the health benefits of fibre and seeds, so you are getting some goodness from them.

If you, like me, havent tried them for years, please give them another go, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Summary: A healthy, tasty, easy to prepare snack.
