I eat these fairly regularly and these are very tasty with any toppings that would normally be placed inside a sandwich or on toast (apart from beans I guess!). I enjoy them mainly with ham/Marmite & butter/peanut butter and because they are just 32 calories eat I can easily eat 4-6 without even feeling guilty but then I often forget about the amount of calories in my toppings as what you don't think about can't really...more

Premium Review Ryvita Original Crispbread: I'm an original, are you? (453 words)

Ryvita Original are made by The Ryvita Co. and available in most supermarkets. I paid 69p for 250g from my local Sainsburys and this gives around 20 crackers which are 32 calories each and contain just 0.3g sugar and 0.2g fat which is only slightly more fat than a Ryvita Crackerbread and it just feels quite a bit more substantial. The crackers are crispy as they are made from wholegrain rye and they are the perfect alternative to bread for those who are trying to watch their calorie intake or just fancy something a bit crunchier than the usual soft bread. Admittedly two crackers together aren't as filling as a sandwich but they still have this lovely crunchy ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A YUMMY CRISPY SNACK-NOT AT ALL LIKE CARDBOARD (761 words)

The wonderful original ryvita, I always resort to these whenever I am on a health kick, whenever I look in the mirror and think oh my god you need to sort yourself out my girl, and fast. I have been eating these since I was in my teens and I have never found them to be awful, they are fairly filling, depending on how many you have and what topping you put on them. I don't find that they are like cardboard like others suggest, but that might have something to do with the topping I always seem to use, (I should give them to my 2 year old son to verify the cardboard taste as he has a penchant for kitchen rolls and pizza boxes-but that's another ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ryvita Original Crispbread: Ryvita - I don't think we'll meet again in this lifetime!! (333 words)

Out of all my reviews I've done I have never really 'slated' a product until now. I find these absolutely disgusting and boring. This is my own personal view though (like you'd expect), others will find this crispbread really satisfying. These crackers (for better a word) or pieces of cardboard (how I'd describe them) are way down on my list of crackers, if ever I have to buy them at the supermarket. Firstly I must admit I am not a huge cracker fan, so my review may be slightly one sided, but I am entitled to one, and here it goes. The first time I tried these was about 20 years ago when I was on a diet. At the time I tried them with cheese and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ryvita, For The Smarter Eater (341 words)

These are delicious and a great substitute for bread. They are a rye based crispy bread and contain just Wholegrain Rye, Flour and a tiny amount of salt. I paid 57p in Asda for a 250g packet. The pack has about 20 crisp breads in it which are oblong shaped, dry, brittle and have little holes indented on the top side. Each crisp bread slice has just 32 calories in it and is nearly as filling as a slice of bread. A medium thickness slice of white bread is about 80 calories, so you can eat 2.5 Ryvitas instead of 1 slice of bread and in my opinion feel far more full up. The nutrition in them is very good. Each slice has just 0.05g of salt ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ryvita Original Crispbread: Great with a big dollop of whatever (362 words)

My mum used to buy Ryvita all the time and I remember eating it with her when I was little covered in peanut butter. I hadn't eaten any for years though until recently when I decided I need to eat quite a bit healthier and thought these would be a great thing to have for lunches at work or as a snack between meals. Having only ever bought the original Ryvita I became completely befuddled looking at all the new varieties they've produced on the supermarket shelves but eventually found the Ryvita original crispbread. The original variety comes in a bright red paper pack and costs 76p (from Asda) for 250g which contains around 30 slices. Ryvita ...  Read the complete review

Quite good for you, low salt content. Boring and plain, do taste salty.

Nice amount in bag, great quality, great taste Can be a little drying when eating them!

VERY tasty! Only 3% fat, wholegrain, suitable for vegetarians & vegans, and they make a great snack. They don't smell very nice and they're too more-ish!

Really crunchy and full of flavour :) Very dry :(
