Whilst trying to relive my youth with a taste of Sainsbury's iced lebkuchen stars, I happened to notice that the product had a partner in the range. Whilst I didn't expect to enjoy these chocolate lebkuchen hearts as much as their companions, I was intrigued enough to at least give them a try, especially when the generosity of Sainsbury's 2 250 gram bags for £1.50 is allowed for. As it turned out, the lebkuchen stars weren't as good as I remembered them to be from years before and it was with some trepidation I turned to what I had expected to be the lesser of the two.
