I always buy Mcvities Chocolate biscuits. Though I sit down and I munch though a packet in one sitting so if I can save a few pence I shall! So when I saw these, I hadn't tried them before and I must admit for 30p I thought hmmm these are gonna be foul! So I bought my usual Mcvities and these thinking my dog would have a treat if I hate them (yes I know choc bad for dogs but they're ok if I remove the chocolate off eh! Packaging.... Simple. Similar to the photo at the top of this review but not quite. For some reason the link here is for what I requested but the photograph is for chocolate digestive bars! No idea why lol White and orange packet ... Read the complete review

SAINSBURY'S BASIC MILK CHOCOLATE DIGESTIVE BISCUITS. I do like a nice biscuit to dunk into a cup of tea, and i like to keep a packet of these chocolate digestives to hand, in case i have guests arriving, so thats a good thing to have as they look nice on my new white square shaped plates that i recently treated myself too. The Packet ********** The long cyclinder shaped packet, with the usual Basics range redy orangy stripe across the neck of the packet of biscuits, and it has milk chocolate digestive biscuits written in red on the front of the white background. The Taste ********** Well i think that they taste ... Read the complete review

I have a Sainsbury's around a two minute walk away from me now so there really is no excuse for not having lots of lovely snacks and food stuffs in the house when guests drop by. I like to always ensure that the biscuit jar is kept well stocked with biscuits and cake bars. When I was browsing Sainsbury's recently I saw these 'Basics' Milk Chocolate Digestives for just 33p and just had to try a packet. The biscuits come wrapped in a white & orange celophane and it's a long cylindrical shaped roll of biscuits. The packaging is cheap and thin and not very good at protecting the biscuits. As soon as I got mine home I just opened up the packaging and poured the ... Read the complete review

Dunking a biscuit into your cup of tea is one of the most English and traditional actions you could possibly do. Don't deny it, you all love to dip your favourite biccy into your cup of PG Tips or earl grey! I needed some new dunking biscuits myself, so when I did the rounds in Sainsbury's a few days back, I wondered what's the point in getting the more expensive, branded variety of my favourite milk chocolate digestives when all I do with half the packet is get them hot and soggy, full of tea goodness which surely masks any differences in quality?? For 33p, Sainsbury's offer their Basic range in milk chocolate digestive biscuits. Coming in at 300g, the ... Read the complete review

I don't tend to buy many biscuits for our home as I have mentioned in previous reviews that they get eaten too quickly and no-one really enjoys them. In these credit crunch times, I have realised I haven't bought many snack treats for lunch boxes or other times. The last couple of weeks I have felt sorry for my family and I have been buying these value chocolate digestives. I originally bought them to see of anyone would notice the difference, because at 35p for the 300g packet I couldn't really go wrong. They come packaged in the standard orange and white packet which doesn't look very appealing but that's not what it's designed for in the cheapness ... Read the complete review
