... pleasantly surprised by many different things being loads better that I had assumed. I am now happy to try different things on this basis. These fish fingers cost me just £0.49 for a box of 10, which is a definite bargain! They come in a white cardboard box with the "Basics" logo on the front in orange (as with all of the "Basics" range) and a picture of the fish fingers. Inside, they are bright orange and look pretty similar to other brands. You can grill, fry or over cook. I put them in ...more

Premium Review Sainsbury's Basics 10 Frozen Fish Fingers: THEY ARE JUST A BASIC FISHFINGER, (376 words)

SAINSBURY'S BASICS FISH FINGERS. Basically these fishfingers are a cheaper version of the cod fish fingers and they are 48p from Sainsbury's supermarket. The Package********** They come in a thin carboard box and they contain ten fish fingers, the box itself is quite easy to open, it has the usual basics redy orangy stripe across the front of the box and has ten fish fingers written across the front of the packet. No frills, just basic white fish covered in golden breadcrumbs, ok if you just want an average fishfinger. I serve my with chips, with salt and vinegar and it does show you on the packet to add a slice of lemon, which ...  Read the complete review

The fish fingers I had been buying were slowly but surel going up in price so I thought I'd look at an alternative. I spotted these ones in the freezer at Sainsburys and have stuck with them ever since. They cost around the 50p mark for a box of ten fish fingers. Before I start telling you about the taste of these, I should make it clear that these aren't cod fish fingers. They also don't include any omega 3 oils that you can find in some fish fingers these days. They consist of plain 'white fish' with no frills. On opening the packet I was surprised at how golden and bright the breadcrumbs were on each finger. It was almost as if they were slightly ...  Read the complete review

Sainsbury's Basics 10 Frozen Fish Fingers Description: Manufacturer: Sainsbury's / Type: Fish Anyone who reads my reviews will know that I am a recent convert to the whole "no frills" packaging that supermarkets are offering. I love the idea of not having to pay extra for post wrappings that only get put in the bin anyway. I will admit that for a while, I had been put off by cheap packaging, assuming that the goods might also be a little cheap and nasty. In actual fact, I have been pleasantly surprised by many different things being loads better that I had assumed. I am now happy to try different things on this ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sainsbury's Basics 10 Frozen Fish Fingers: Fabulous fish fingers for tiny prices (345 words)

Sainsbury's Basics 10 Frozen Fish Fingers Description: Manufacturer: Sainsbury's / Type: Fish I love fish fingers and actually prefer the cheaper ones rather than the "posh" ones (which tend to be mini fillets of fish in breadcrumbs rather than minced fish, which is what I like! These are not cod, they are marked as being white fish). Although I normally buy the cheaper versions, I was surprised at just how cheap these were. They cost me less than £0.50 for a box of 10 which seemed a fantastic deal, so I bought them and looked forward to trying them. The box is simple, no frills cardboard with the "Basics" logo ...  Read the complete review
