I don't usually buy the basics stuff if I can help it. I like to eat as well as I can afford to, and can usually stretch to the normal sainsbury's stuff. However, at the end of term, just before christmas, I was feeling a little strapped for cash as I had spent all of my student loan, and decided to invest in some sainsburys basics crips. My advice is this: DONT BUY THEM The packaging is the usual sainsburys basics packaging. Orange and white and unimaginative. For every single flavour packet I tried there didnt seem to be much flavour. You could just tell what flavour you were eating, but it was eating diluted crips. Not nice. And they ... Sainsbury's Basics Crisps Description: Manufacturer: Sainsbury's / Type: Crisps Like all products in the Sainsbury's Basics range, these crisps have pain looking white packaging with orange writing. Yes it does look a little bit cheap and nasty but it also means that you are not paying extra for fancy wrapping, which has to be a good thing. 12 packets of ready salted crisps in this range cost me £0.55 and there is also a multi pack of flavoured crisps available if you prefer. Each bag is only 18g so seems a little small which is disappointing. The crisps themselves are light and golden and look pretty good. They are ... Read the complete review

I was sitting today and it occurred to me, why, life. Life. And then there was nothing else to think of, nothing else to occur. So I ate a crisp. And it was rather delightful I must say. And then I logged on to dooyoo and my heart failed to see that such a, as I say, delightful crisp, should fail your people's ratings. And so I must question, why? Why? Why? Again and again. Are we talking of the same crisp, dear folks? Are we talking of this some delightful, delicious, dubiously...d'awesome crisp? We cannot be. As I say, I was sitting down, thinking. And then I was handed a crisp. And I ate it. This was the end of the little relationship me and said crisp had, ... Read the complete review

When it comes to crisps I couldn't live without them in my life! I will regularly sit and eat three bags on the trot without even thinking about it and love a crisp sarnie! Usually I eat Mccoy's (Paprika flavour rocks my world) or I love Walkers crisps and pretty much will chomp my way through any flavour really (but the vile limited edition fish and chip flavour of course!) and I do love Pringles and things like that. Really when it comes to crisps I'm not too fussy and and am easily pleased really! So today when I nipped over to Sainsbury's to get myself a few goodies for a quiet Sunday night in front of the tv I thought I would try these out for ... Read the complete review

This is part of the new Sainsbury's Basics range. I have tried a few of these products in the past. With these low-price ranges in the supermarket I expect to find some hidden gems and also to come across some bad 'uns. Well you'll probably realise by the end of this which category I feel these fall into. I think these crisps only come in multipacks. A pack costs about 70p. So yes these crisps are incredibly cheap bearing in mind you get 12 packets. Normally that money would buy you two individual packets of Walkers. However there isn't much in each packet just 18 grams. This is a fair bit less than the 25 grams you get in the Walkers multipack bags. As such ... Read the complete review
