Sainsbury's Basics Crisps---Really Basic !!

I love crisps and often try out different brands and flavours. I am not a regular buyer but sometimes it does find a place in my shopping cart.
Take a glance of the packaging and you know there is some truth to the name Sainsbury's Basics. It is made up of very thin white pack with the brand name and other details mentioned in typical Sainsbury's light orange colour. I do not like the packaging as it is too placid and does not help arising appetite.
There are 12 packets each weighing 17.5 grams. You can find three varieties of crisps namely-ready salted, salt & vinegar and cheese & onion flavour with each variety having four packets tallying to a total of 12 packets.
To be honest the crisps are as crunchy as some of the popular brands but let me tell you that these are also not saggy. I personally like cheese & onion. Ready salted flavour is average and does not convey any special taste and you can really make out why the crisps are named as basics. Salt & Vinegar is at the bottom of my pick as I hate the smell of vinegar. I also have a strong resistance towards the ingredients used (spirit vinegar powder & malt vinegar powder) for this flavour as I do not fancy their strong presence.
Overall it is OK for your budget planning as you pay only around 50p but you also get what you pay for.....

Summary: Expect only BASIC not NEW ....
