Advantages: Taste, price.. everything

Disadvantages: None

In a bid to try and save some money on my shopping bill i am trying some supermarket own brands and vale brands to see if i can come across any products that are alot cheaper than the big brands and still be good enough to pass my test. Some have failed miserable, some have passed with flying colours. These have breezed this test. I do relise to cut down on my shopping bill completely is to not buy them at all, but i do love a biscuit :)

Firstly, lets start with the main point. A pack of chocolate digestives for i thought i paid 33p the other day, but i have read a couple of other reviews which suggest they was 31p but either way they are still cheap!

The packaging is the standard Sainsburys basic brand, the plain white with the orange logo. It also states on the packet "no fancy packaging, still great with a cuppa" So i thought it would be rude not to try this theory out.. and i agree!

We must have all seen the Peter Kay sketch with the weak biscuit in the cup of tea, these helf very firm. I dipped them and they did not go soggy. Infact the chocolate started to melt a little bit and tasted very nice.

The biscuits them self are clearly smaller than the other brands such as Micvities, but they are quite chunky biscuits. The taste also isnt as good as Mcvities but then for 31 or 33p they are not going to be, but as a cheaper alternative, these definately will more than do.

Eash biscuits provides 70 calories, 2.4g of fat, 1.7g of sat fat, 0.13g of salt and 4.0g of total sugars.

A good way for me of finding out weather these are good or not is if i would buy them again. My answer is definately!

Summary: I would buy again
