... to open the can and have some soft scoop vanilla ice-cream with it, yes i know your thinking a nice healthy bit of fruit then a big dollop of ice-cream but we only had a little. We found inside loads of little pieces of fruit, grapes, pear peach and pineapple but to be honest we only got two cherries and as only two of us were eating this, we had one each, the juice in the tin tasted lovely and the pieces of fruit were really ok, considering they were in a tin and cost less than fifty pence, thats not to bad,...more

Premium Review Sainsbury's Basics Fruit Cocktail In Fruit Juice: ITS A COCKTAIL OF FRUIT ! (391 words)

SAINSBURY'S BASICS FRUIT COCKTAILS When my future son in law came over to dinner the other night with my daughter, he brought a tin of Sainsbury's fruit cocktail as a offering for desert, and i did think oh well at least he has contributed something. The other day in Sainsbury's I walked past my usual favourite aisle of snacks and chocolate and got to work at finding some healthy options! I love fruit and vegetables but have never really indulged in canned/tinned offerings before and it was something I have really wanted to try for a while! I get through so much fresh fruit and vegetables that stocking up on a few 'emergency' products so I don't starve seemed a mighty fine idea! The Packaging.... 411g silver can with a white and orange label on it and on the front I'm told is is Sainsbury's 'Basics' Fruit Cocktail In Fruit Juice 'All Shapes, All Sizes' I'm told the fruit contains no added sugar ...  Read the complete review
