Although I just gave a glowing review about Ambrosia Custard recently, I don't mind the cheaper stuff either. Yes, it is normally watery, and doesn't have quite as much taste, but if you are on a budget and want a bit of treat or dessert then why not. This is part of the Sainsbury's Basic range which is the cheapest range in the store. This can cost me 26p for a 390g tin. The design of the tin isn't that exciting and it doesn't even have a ring pull top, which is easy enough to get off. I absolutely love custard and after enjoying the 7p Sainsbury's 'Basics' sachet of custard I tried a while back I decided to try the tin (already made up custard) for 25p a tin. I'd bought some sponge puddings and of course wanted this to drench all over them as I adore the stuff I was a bit worried as the sponge wernt cheap and I was concerned that this could ruin it...however I was really very wrong! The Packaging.... 39g can with a white and orange label to the front of it and on the front of that I'm told it is Sainsbury's 'Basics' Custard (small orange scribble of a jug pouring custard is on there), and I'm told it's 'No fuss custard' that ...
