Unlike comedian Richard Herring, who clearly is, I am not obsessed with yoghurts. I just happened to want to write a thousand words about Sainsbury’s Basics yoghurts today, there’s nothing funny about it. It’s not like I’m involved in the yoghurt trade and I’m trying to promote it or anything. Well, saying that, my Dad’s farm does supply the milk they use to make those Muller corners, but that’s not the point. He gets a substantial discount, which used to mean plenty more yoghurts for me, yum! Not that I’m obsessed with yoghurt or anything. Saying that, I really fancy one now though. What could there possibly be to complain about in Sainsburys Basics Low Fat ... Read the complete review

I had, untill recently, been buying Asda smartprice yoghurts. However, my local changed from a somerfield to a sainsburys so i decided to head down and see if there were any bargains to be had. This yoghurt, is definately one of those top buys, and i would recommend it to anyone. Price ----- The price is the first major advantage of this product. In my local store they were a mere 55p each or 6 for £2. I think this was only a limited offer but even at 55p, its about £1 to £1.50 cheaper than most of the major yoghurt retailers. Size ----- This is the big advantage you get over the Asda Yoghurt. There is ... Read the complete review

I am pleased to say have the best intentions when I go shopping and I always buy yogurts for me, fromage frais for my daughter and chocolate mousse for my son. The kids always eat all of theirs usually before the week is out. Me however end up throwing the yogurts that I brought my self weeks after the sell by date. My husband couldn't understand why I insisted on buying yogurts when week after week I end up adding them to our already too much food waste. My answer was that I want them but agreed to stop buying the expensive brand as not only was I wasting food, I was also wasting money. I am normally a food snob when it comes to basic ... The other day I had the thought of yogurt and I decided to buy them because I'm powerless beneath my every whim. Not really, but I don't know. Apparently natural yogurt is healthy and things, right? So I looked it up and found, yes, excellent, Sainsbury Basics! Doing a yogurt. A low fat natural yogurt, to be precise. For 47 p for a pretty huge tub of 500g. And I was pretty impressed. I wasn't very, very impressed because this seems still like a huge rip off to me considering this will cost me about 8 p per serving and this offends my cheapness. However, it was still incredibly good in comparison top say, Sainsbury's normal edition, which is 78p, I think. It's ... Read the complete review

My boys love yoghurts, it's the one thing which got them used to using spoons on their own. But even just as young babies (probably just over 4months) I began giving them yoghurts. They seemed to really LOVE them. Yoghurts are usually smooth, creamy and tasty at the same time, so would of been a lovely treat for them, something tasty and extremely easy to swallow at such a young age. Now being just over 15months old they love to have yoghurts for snacks, but I don't tend to stick to just one brand. I like them to try new things, different and unusual flavours. So on one of my shopping trips in Sainsburys I was browsing through the huge fridge full of all ... Read the complete review
