My review of Sainsbury's Basics Milk Chocolate Buttons ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Introduction ~~~~~~~~ Sainsbury's do a 'basics' range of food, which is the 'umbrella' under which they market their own economy brand. Though blandly (but not necessarily minimally) packaged, the Sainsbury's 'basics' range (strangely considering the 'basics' name) includes more non essential (dare I say it; non-basic -lol!!) items such as chocolate and confectionary... A Bit Of 'Basic' Shopping ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After a trip to the Post Office this afternoon I wondered into Sainsbury's and picked up a few groceries and other ... Read the complete review

If you have children then more often than you will have a packet of chocolate buttons hanging around in the cupboards. Sainsburys make these chocolate buttons and when I can get away with picking Noah's sweets for him, I tend to go for these because they are cheap but they taste great. On opening the packet I am always surprised at how many there are inside. I never give the whole bag to Noah and they tend to last one or two sittings, maybe less if I end up eating some! I do like to eat chocolate and I love Cadbury buttons so when I saw this cheap option in Sainsbury's I was too curious to try them to simply walk past them lol. The Packaging.... White and orange plastic oblongish bag and on the front I'm told it is Sainsbury's 'Basics' Milk chocolate Buttons 'Real chocolate and right on the button' there is an at a glance nutritional chart, I'm told the product contains only natural flavours and that they're suitable for Vegetarians and there is a scribble in orange of the buttons. On the back of the bag nutritional information is given, ingredients and allergy advice is given, I'm told how to store them the size ... Read the complete review

I have tried quite a few of Sainsbury's Basics products recently, and have been happy with the quality of most of them. The Basics chocolate bars are quite good, though obviously not the same quality as a higher priced one, but still good if you are on a budget and want to have a chocolatey treat. I saw these Basics Milk Chocolate Buttons when I was out shopping the other day, and decided to try a couple of bags. They cost 38p for a bag containing 100g. The packaging is very plain and has the Sainsbury's Basics orange and white logo. It says 'real chocolate and right on the button'. The front of the pack also says that the buttons contain only natural ... Read the complete review
