Sainsbury's seem to be doing this with a lot of their own-brand food now and it is definitely a step in the right direction. It seems only right that supermarkets and manufacturers should have to deal with waste packaging rather than consumers. Maybe it will encourage them to reduce unnecessary packaging. This is mozzarella made from cow's milk rather than water buffalo milk (as in buffalo mozzarella). I think it is fine for using in salads but the gourmets amongst you may disagree. However, I would be surprised if anyone could tell the difference when used on pizza or in a pasta bake. It is a very reasonable price (47p for 125g) for a very reasonable product. The bonus is that the packaging can be rinsed and recycled in one of the plastic bag recycling bins at the larger Sainsbury's stores.
