No fancy packaging here, but they are suitable for vegetarians and contain 61 calories per pancake, with fat at 1.4g total sugars at 4.5g and a little salt at 0.1g. so not too bad. The Pancakes (taste) Lovely i really liked them , hot or cold, they are about five inches in dia, round, and quite thick and taste even better with a bowl full of these, with ice cream makes for a really great desert, with syrup, or lemon and...more

Sainsbury's Basics Pancakes. I love pancakes especially home made ones, but occassionally i havnt got the time or the effort to make them so usually buy them, and Sainsbury's Basics offer this little packet of six pancakes for a mere 35p, but thats not all mine where reduced for 24p and thats a real bargain, i guess. The Package ********** They dont have a luxury package, as because they are a one of the Basics range of products and they come in a clear plastic easy to tear open package, with a thin white carboard piece at the bottom, and the pancakes are stacked three high on each side of the carboard ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review 40p pancakes - low in fat, taste great, nice breakfast or sn ... (300 words)

I actually bought a pack of the pancakes when they were in the reduced section the other day, bringing them to a very nice 23p - full price is around the 36p, I believe. I really like pancakes for a simple treat, but given that I tend to wolf them down in a couple of sittings, and they're not very filling, I don't want to spend too much money on them. Having said that, pancakes strike me as the sort of food that might taste bad done on the cheap - like cheap bread, stodgy and with an aftertaste. But you can't argue with the reduced section, so buy the pancakes I did. First thing first - the packaging. These are part of the basics range, so a very simple, ...  Read the complete review

The product I am reviewing is Sainsbury's basics Pancakes. There is only one variety, which is available in a packet of 6 units. I bought this packet for 35p, yesterday. The packaging is presented in the colour scheme used on all of the Sainsbury's basics range, very white with a splash of orange. It has a cellophane wrapper around the product that is stacked in two piles of three on some cardboard. Interestingly, I can't seem to find the product weight printed on the packaging but it does give me nutritional information, ingredients, allergy advice, freezing advice and grilling guidelines. This product is suitable for vegetarians. The best before ...  Read the complete review

Today I really needed some sort of sweet fix big time! I came out of the gym starving and ready to eat ten ton of chocolate and binge my way through sweets when I saw these in my local Sainsbury's and decided on a packet of these instead because at on 61 calories per pancake it seemed a wiser option! The Packaging.... Oblong clear plastic wrapper of which you can see two rows of 3 pancakes sitting inside of it on a white cardboard tray type of thing. The front label is white and orange and on that I'm told they are Sainsbury's 6 pancakes, the best before date is stamped on there, there is nutritional information given as well as ingredients and ...  Read the complete review
