These crackers cost 45p for a packet of sixty in Sainsburys and they are part of the 'basics' range' I buy them every now and again for the boys because I am running out of ideas for both lunches and snacks. The crackers come in a very uninspiring plastic wrapper and when you take this away, you have two individual packets of crackers with 30 in each. I like this because they are the type of food that go soft quite quickly and even if you store them in a lunch box they still go soft. Over the last couple of years, I have been trying a lot of supermarket basic/value products, as well as shopping more at Aldi in recent months. This has been in an attempt to save money on the family shopping bill. I have found that a lot of these cheaper products taste very good, and in a lot of cases, are as good as branded products and more expensive own brand items. I tend to avoid the Basics meat and eggs, due to concerns about animal welfare, and cakes and buns, as they are better homebaked. I am willing to try most other products, though. I am crackers for crackers! I like any sort really and am not fussy so when I saw these for 49p in my local Sainsbury's for what is a rather large packet I lobbed some in my basket along with some spreadable cheese and liver pate to have as a late night snack later on that day! The Packaging: The crackers come mainly in a white plastic covering and on the front in white and orange writing I'm told they are Sainsbury's 'Basic' Snack Crackers 'Simple Recipe, Cracking Price', there is a simple scribble of a couple of crackers on there, I'm told they are Vegetarian, the best before date is clearly stamped on and there is an nutritional pye chart on ...
