... obvious that the spaghetti was drowning in a sea of tomato sauce which isn't very tempting. When I poured it from the tin into the pan, it splashed and just looked really watery and unappealing. The spaghetti wasn't like the long strands that you can sometimes get but these were rather small. I'm used to this because that's how Asda's come too but these were ridiculously small and thin. On eating the spaghetti, I felt that it had a nicer tomato sauce than Asda's version but it felt that that was all I was eating....more

Sainsburys sell this spaghetti for 14p which is a bargain and although I usually buy the Asda version, I ran out and decided to give this a try. I wasn't that impressed with it to be honest and would definitely make sure I'm more organised and buy in some more of the Asda version when I do my online shop. I decided to try this after reading a review by xxfoxy-redxx - check her out she's good! Anyway isn't it odd I decided to try this after someone said it wasn't very good? Probably, but I do like to try things and see if I like them. After all it is Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce, is it that hard to get wrong? Premium Review Sainsbury's Basics Spaghetti In Tomato Sauce: A cheap and not so cheerful spaghetti! (474 words)

Anyone who regulary reads any of my reviews will be very much aware that A) I am a lazy cook and don't eat properly and B) I love toast. Because of my love of all things toasted I always look for toppings when out shopping. When I saw this spaghetti costing 14p a can in my local Sainsbury's it seemed a bit of a bargain so I decided to try a can! The Packaging: 410g in weight the can has a white and orange label around it. On the front of it I'm told it is Sainsbury's 'Basics' Spaghetti (there's a scribble of some spaghetti hangiing off a fork) Spaghetti In Tomato Sauce 'Different sauce, same on toast' and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on ...  Read the complete review

Quick, tasty, not too unhealthy, 100% chicken breast meat, freezable, on offer!! Probably could still be made a little healthier, more expensive than nuggets etc BUT WORTH IT!
