100g for 27p - that was the reason that I decided to give this stuff a try - it is after all, very very cheap. I don't normally shop at Sainsbury's, preferring Tesco's for my weekly shop. Tesco do a similar range, but they don't sell the white chocolate in this size for some reason, so when I spotted this size bar in Sainsbury's having gone in there for something else, I decided to give it a go. I eat white chocolate because it doesn't contain caffeine, like milk chocolate and dark chocolate both do (I'm caffeine intolerant), so more often than not, I have to look in the kids section for chocolates though I have to say it is getting better in terms of the ... Recently I have tried both the Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate bars offered within the Sainsbury's Basics range, and found them both to be more than satisfactory, and so I decided that I may as well go for the trifector and also give the White Chocolate bar a chance. The chocolate bar comes in the very simple orange and white packaging that we all associate with Sainsbury's cheapest range. The packaging is shiny white plastic which rips open easily, and it has an orange stripe across the top, plus the nutritional information clearly displayed on the front. It also has a hand drawn picture of a chunk of chocolate next to the words: 'No fancy packaging, just a ... Read the complete review

The one thing I really do love is white chocolate. It's my favourite type of chocolate and when I saw this one priced at 27p a bar I simply had to give it a go! The Packaging: Oblong white plastic wrapper with orange writing on it and on the front I'm told it is Sainsbury's 'Basics' White Chocolate 'No fancy packaging, just a good bar of chocolate' and there is a scribble of two lumps of chocolate, I'm told it is suitable for Vegetarians and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there. On the back of the wrapper other information includes a full nutritional value chart, ingredients and allergy advice is given, contact details for Sainsbury's ... Read the complete review

White chocolate is my favourite and when in Sainsbury today I reached for a big bar of Milkybar. Underneath it I noticed Sainsburys Basics White Chocolate, a generous sized bar costing just 27p! I thought in my head that this will taste rubbish but trying to save the pennies at the moment I decided to opt for this over the milkybar. The bar weighs 100g and is slightly smaller than the usual 'big size' chocolate bars such as Dairy Milk. It is covered in the usual Sainsburys Basics packaging, predominantly white in colour with orange detailing. The front of the bar tells me that there is 'no fancy packaging, just a good bar of chocolate'. I am also told it ... Read the complete review

I found that there is a cheap chocolate trio available is Sainsbury's Basics series. Actually I have tried all of them but now I review the white chocolate. First impressions ---------------------- This chocolate is in a white wrapper as the Sainsbury's Basics series usually are wrapped. The Sainsbury's logo and the White Chocolate title on it are written with orange. The bar is 100 g and costs 0.27 pounds. The wrapper can be opened easily. It is cheap wrapper so don't expect to be re-sealable. It has all the nutritional and ingredients information on the wrapper. The white chocolate looks exactly the same as white chocolates look. ...
