 ... after sticking them in the oven for four minutes they look gloriously brown and delicious. I like the fact that the oil hasn't puddled in the bottom of these puddings as happens with a lot of cheaper Yorkshires, and even some dearer ones! They are actually quite dry to look at although touching them does reveal that they have the grease you would normally associate with Yorkshire puddings. My reason for buying these Sainsbury's Basics Yorkshire Pudding was not down to the fact that they cost just 54p for 15 puddings, but because they are smaller than the usual Aunt Bessies brand I buy and therefore contain fewer calories. I miss having a Yorkshire Pudding with my Sunday lunch but cannot justify the dent in my daily Weight Watcher points allowance by having one, however these small and tasty puds can easily be slotted in by simply reducing the scoops of mash I have! These aren't really THAT much smaller, they're nowhere near the size of those Tidgy Puds that Aunt Bessies used to make and really just don't stand quite so tall on my plate.
