To be honest I can't remember buying the tin of butter beans I found lurking in the back of the cupboard earlier this week but it must have been there a while. But we had nothing for tea, it was too yuck a night to go out and desperately trying to work down the food cupboard til payday. Times are hard! So spotted the tin of Sainsburys butter beans and decided to use them. As I said, it must have been there a bit but the bbd was stated as Nov 2012 so no problems there. When it comes to beans and pulses and things like that, of late I have really tried to up my intake of such produce. I bought a load of cans of things to try when last in Sainsbury's simply because I keep running out of fresh fruit and vegetables and thought they would be great for 'emergencies'. I haven't had butter beans in years and really wanted them with some pie and mash type of thing, it was just something I really fancied one cold and wet night so I grabbed myself a 215g can (also available in a large 410g can priced at 48p).
