As food continues to go up in price, I have been searching for cheaper alternatives to my usual brand names. My choice for butter/margerine was usually Lurpak Spreadable slightly salted which is not the healthiest choice (due to the added salt), but something which I enjoy whether it is on toast, spread on a sandwich, or in cooking. I decided to try Sainsbury's Buttersoft as it was the nearest cheaper alternative I could get. Lurpak is now £2.41 for 500g in Sainsbury whereas the Buttersoft is £1.84 for the same amount. Tasty, not TOO many calories, versatile for a range of toppings -----------

just unwrap them and eat them, cheap as part of Sainsbury's basics none ive found.

Cheap and easy to make Not all that flavoursome (can be remedied with fillings though in the case of pancakes)

Tastes excellent! Excellent texture! Expensive! High Calorie! (but then again its a cheesecake) POOR packaging!!!
