Advantages: Tastes yummy; Strong onion flavour but you can still taste the cheese

This is the most wicked cheese EVER, I don't know if it's new or something Sainsburys have brought out for Xmas but this Silverskin Onion And Herb Cheddar was being given out at the deli yesterday and as soon as I tried it I had to buy a block!

It looks like it's going to be a crumbly cheese from the photo Dooyoo have got up but it's not, it's just a normal Cheddar that you can slice without it falling to bits.

The cheese smells of onion when you open it and because there are pieces of pickled silverskin onions in it you get a proper yummy tangy smell that makes your mouth water. There's some dried onion in it as well and that put me off at first because I worried they were going to be crispy in the cheese but you can't tell when you get any of them bits in your mouth even though you can taste the onion.

There's chives mixed in with the onion and that makes it taste yummy because chives always go wicked with cheese anyway and now I know how good they go with onion too!

The cheese is proper creamy and you don't have to worry because you can still taste the cheddar under the onions, even though the onion flavour is very strong and that is deffo the main flavour in this block.

The only thing is that everytime you burp or sigh you'll taste the onion all day long! lol I'm not bothered about onion breath because I love the smell of onions myself but if you worry about stuff like that then make sure you've got loads of mints handy! pmsl!

I love this cheese and recommend you try it on Ritz, I'd never have tried that but we'd run out of cream crackers today so I sliced it small and it went wicked with the salty Ritz.
