This product should be a standard cupboard stock item. It is only 46p and is a perfect addition to many sauces. It is tomatoes - creamed- like a passata- pure and simple and delicious. Do not waste your money on tomato sauces for rice or pasta etc; as by adding your own herbs and/or spices to this tomato product you will end up with a delightful and fresh tasting sauce. I have only recently come across this little 'gem' for my stock cupboard - Sainsbury's creamed tomatoes.. an absolute bargain at only 29p. Prior to this discovery, when making lasagne, or spaghetti bolognaise I always found that my sauces were too dry and insipid evn though I used tomato puree and canned tomatoes... I was relucant to pay the prices asked for ready made bolognaise sauces. One day in sainsbury's I happened to spot this carton of creamed tomatoes. What a difference they have made to my cooking!!
