Before getting stuck into this review I must point out that this product is not produced for Sainsbury's at all. It is sold in Sainsburys which is actually where I got mine from but it isn't exclusive to them and is stocked in many places! I'm so glad we cleared that up! So why buy it? Well it's squeezy garlic of course and can be used in all the usual recipes you would normally use real garlic in. It's simply a convenient alternative! This product is great! My garlic crusher got nicked when I was in halls and the replacement I bought fell apart the first time I used it so garlic purée has served me well since then! It's really convenient to use - you just squeeze out as much as you need, like with tomato purée. You don't need a crusher so it saves on money and on washing up. And you don't get garlicky fingers from chopping up the garlic either. It also saves money because one of these packets lasts for ever and, cheap as garlic is, it is much cheaper to buy this than to buy the equivalent quantity of garlic bulbs.
