The consistency of the guerkins are just right because they aren't too soft but they remain crunchy and a pleasure to eat. Guerkins are a strange vegetable and I know so many people that remove them from their burger at mcdonalds but I absolutely love them. I have been eating them as if they are going out of fashion lately and was pleased when I saw someone else had requested them. SAINSBURY'S GHERKINS IN SWEET VINEGAR. When i was younger i used to work after school, and sometimes on the weekends, at my local Fish and Chip Shop, im speaking abour the age of fourteen fifteen, to earn a little extra money for myself and my family. I can remember mike Read (deceased) now coming into the shop, on a trip to my area and buying two middle skates, and one portion of chips, and what i knew then as a wally, (Gherkin) and i used to get a tip every time.
