The cake smells of lemons and the taste is also a wonderfully lemon delight, the only moan I do have is that the pastry is a bit crumbly and it makes the cake difficult to pick up, eating it with a fork is much easier and less mess. I'm a bit of a sucker for any lemon flavoured cakes as I live lemon drizzle cake, I have never been a big fan of bakewell tarts however when I saw a lemon version on sale in Sainsbury I thought I would give it a try and I'm quite glad I did.
