The actual flavour has a strong lemony taste to it, so much so that the coriander is only very faint. That's not to say it's a bad combination, they do mingle together rather well. Whilst there is a punchy citrus taste to fill your mouth it isn't so overpowering that that is all there is to it. The coriander although subtle, does come through enough to mellow the sourness of the lemon.

I'm a new comer to the world of houmous. If I'm frank, I think it looks fairly unappetizing and if it hadn't of been served up as part of my dinner I would never of even tried it. Houmous is basically a middle eastern food, made from either mashed chickpeas or garbanzo beans. Possibly the reason as to why I've avoided eating it for so long. This lemon & coriander version contains 200g for the price of £1.19 and comes in a clear plastic tub with a cardboard cover around it. So half of it is recyclable.
