 ... eating the coconut ones and the 'stacks'. All the rest get given to my hubby. The coconut ones weren't as 'coconutty' as the Bassetts and they did have a different texture. I would say that they were 'bittier' and fell apart easier. They were still very nice though and it didn't stop me eating them all. Last night was Friday night and what happens in our house on a Friday night???? Yes, you've guessed it.......MUNCHIES!!!!!! I fancied something a little different this week and you know me, I don't like to pay for the name brand products so I chose Sainsbury's own Liquorice Alsorts over the Bassetts variety. The sweets come in a 280g bag and I think they cost me somewhere around the 60p mark although I can't quite be sure. Bassetts liquorice allsorts have a place in my memories as I can remember eating them at home with the family ever since I was a child. I don't like sweets that are all the same, I like a bit of variety, so allsorts are an obvious choice for me. I wouldn't normally buy bags of sweets unless they are on offer, so when I saw that Sainsbury's own brand liquorice allsorts were on offer at two 280g bags for £1 I thought that I would give them a try. I'm not the biggest fan of liquorice because I'm not too keen on the flavour, but I quite enjoy it when it is complemented by additional fruit flavours.
