I hate tinned potatoes so it might suprise you that I'm giving this tin 5 stars! I've found a recipe for them you see and it includes 2 of my fave flavours, honey and lemon so I love these Sainsburys Peeled New Potatoes because they're the ones that cook best in my recipe. They are all different sizes in the tin but there are none of the tiny mini ones that I keep finding in the Tesco tinned potatoes that my mum buys sometimes. I like this because I think if the potatoes are all exactly the same size then they look too artificial on my plate. They are a very pale colour and I think that makes them a bit weird looking, that's mainly why I'm not mad ... Read the complete review

You can buy these new potatoes in the tinned vegetables aisle at Sainsbury's for 28p (300g can) or 46p (820g can). They come in a recyclable steel can. In the 300g can (190g once drained), I found nine cream-coloured potatoes of various shapes and sizes which is just enough as a small side dish for two people. I didn't find any blemishes or yellow-coloured potatoes (the nasty tasting ones!) in my can and I usually don't when I buy the Sainsbury's brand. They're so easy to cook: just drain them, chuck them in a saucepan with some water then heat for about 8 minutes. Don't let them boil. The can warns you not to fry or microwave them but on some of my ... Read the complete review

These new potatoes from Sainsbury's new potatoes cost 28p for 300g and I always try to have a tin in the cupboard for a quick convienient addition to meals. When you open the tin you will see that the potatoes are a nice cream colour because they have already been peeled which is one of the most attractive things about tinned new potatoes. I hate peeling normal sized potatoes as it is but I despise peeling new potatoes. They are so small and really fiddly to peel and it just takes me so long so buying these just cuts out that inconvienience for me. The amount of potatoes in each tin does tend to vary. Sometimes I find that I get 5-8 big potatoes ... Read the complete review

Sainsbury Peeled Potatoes I have literally grown up eating potatoes. I enjoy them with absolutely everything, in any shape, any variety and at any time of the day. The only area of potatoes that I was unfamiliar with however was the tinned variety. On a recent visit to Sainsbury's I noticed their tinned variety of peeled potatoes and decided to give them a try. Cost I bought the smaller tin of these for 28pence in Sainsbury's. There was a larger tin available. I am not sure of the exact size but I believe it was around the 45 pence mark. My Opinion I decided to cook these one evening after a long day at work. I just ... Read the complete review
