The Sunday roast is more often than not followed with a light dessert, if any of the family are coming then I try to push the boat out and buy something extra good. Yesterday afternoon we went to have a look in Comet electrical, the washing machine is on the blink again. On the small retail park they have a Marks and Spencer's food outlet, I suggested we go in and take a look around, but I'm sad to say that is all it was...a look around. Their high quality products were all beautifully displayed in the chiller cabinet, a superior selection that needed a superior wallet. Hence the only thing we came out of the store with was a Marks and Spencer's Insurance ... Read the complete review

I really like Profiteroles, but I wasn't so keen on these ones. Surely they are all the same product? Not so. These are sold in Sainbury's and cost £2 a box. I got these on buy one get one free a few weeks ago. These are frozen and have 20 Profiteroles in the box. I wouldn't say that I thought £2 was expensive for this product, but I usually buy Asda's ones and they cost £1 for 20 and they are also frozen. Anyway they were worth it a bit more since they were on offer. There is a seperate sachet of Chocolate sauce and to look at the sauce it looked pretty thick. It was also really dark brown, so looks a bit rich chocolate. It's not long to ... Read the complete review

When we go shopping and a dessert is required, quite often a box of frozen profiteroles will jump into the trolley. I started buying the Sainsbury's own version a long while ago when they were on a BOGOF offer. Usually they are only £2 for 20 profiteroles anyway which is a very good bargain in my opinion. You can very often find these in the offer compartment though. The profiteroles are packaged in a clear plastic bag, coupled with a sachet of chocolate sauce. All this is hidden in a basic cardboard box. The packaging represents a huge pile of profiteroles. The end result actually matches up to the packaging picture very well. Something which rarely ... Is there anything in life more heavenly that profiteroles? No. Sainsbury's own brand profiteroles in a chocolate sauce are dreamy and must be consumed on a daily basis for happiness and general well-being. These profiteroles are frozen and so not as perfect as fresh ones but they are a great thing to keep in the freezer for emergency desserts when people come to visit. The choux pastry part stays chewy and there is a lot of cream inside each one. The chocolate sauce is in a separate packet. There is a temptation to add more sauce to your own plate than everyone else's but so long as you can disguise what you've done, nobody needs to get ... Read the complete review
