You could also add a small amount of grated parmesan on top of the pasta and sauce, to add flavour and taste, without a lot of calories. Quark is also good in recipes such as cheese cake, to make a low fat dessert that looks as though it has a lot more calories, and tastes great too. I first came across Quark many years ago, in the 1970's, when visiting Germany as a child. Since then, I have bought it on quite a few occasions, especially when I am trying to be healthy and lose a little weight. All the Quark that I have come across has been produced in Germany. However when quark is used in ...  Read the complete review

I dabbled with the Slimming World diet after having my first child but never attended weekly meetings, but in the last couple of months I have been going along each week in an attempt to get rid of those few extra pounds that just linger. The recipes for low fat desserts and meals have been outstanding and I needed to let everyone know about this amazing food that can help you through those sweet toothed cravings without sabotaging your efforts to lose the weight! Quark can be found with the cheese and yoghurts in the refrigerator aisle of your local supermarket. I buy mine in Sainsbury’s and it comes in a blue and white tub, 250g, similar in size to cottage ...  Read the complete review
