I had some of this with my croissants this morning. Although we changed to Tesco as a trial last week, previously we've shopped at Sainsburys for years so we still had nearly a whole jar of this in the cupboard. It costs 69p for a 454g jar which I think is exceptional value for money when you think how much you can easily pay for some of the brand name jams.


And this is every bit as good as the brand names! It's lovely and sticky with a great strong strawberry smell and taste. It's really quite sweet so obviously it's best for those who like their jams on the sugary side rather than having a savoury fruity flavour like some do.


I like the texture of this jam and find it just the right consistency for what I want from a jam. It's thick enough to spread generously across your toast (or croissant etc) and leave a good texture while being thin enough not to form globs that you can't even out.


I think this is brilliant value for money considering the low price and top quality. I'm just sorry we've switched to Tesco for a trial run now!
