Sainsbury's Strawberry Pencils

On our weekend binges Andrew and I often pick up a bag of these to enjoy together. They cost just 39p each although we tend to buy three bags of their own sweets and they come to the small sum of just a quid. The sweet itself is a long, circular strip that consists of a red jelly-type sweet encasing a white, hard cream. The red strawberry jelly is exactly like a strawberry lace although the flavor is much more intense which I think is because there is more surface area to it. I am a big lover of sweets so when I was in Sainsburys today I just couldn't stop myself from picking up these sweeties! The packaging was calling out to me as it's very pretty and girly and I'm in a 'loving pink' kind of mood at the moment (sitting in pink PJs now!). The pencils are a little chewy and take a fair while to chew but the taste of strawberry is there and it's pretty strong, it does taste very nice, in the centre there is a white sugar type paste that is delicious and lovely and mroeish. On my many trips to the cinema I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices for sweets that the cinema sells. There's a Sainsbury's across the road from my local cinema so I often pop in there quickly to buy some cheap sweets which I then sneak into the cinema in my bag!
