... sausages and they give it a wicked sweet and sour flavour that goes wicked on either a sausage dinner or in a butty with some red sauce. I can just about taste the pepper and I was glad about that because if the pepper was too strong then I wouldn't be able to eat them. I reckon the black pepper seasons the sausages because they don't taste salty at all and the pepper has brought the flavour of the beef out good as well. They have got a nice meaty texture that means they are not soggy or floppy inside and they cook a l...more

Premium Review Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Aberdeen Angus Black Pepper Sausages: Does All Meat Taste This Good In Aberdeen? (436 words)

We usually have Richmond sausages but sometimes my mum will get these Taste The Difference ones from Sainsburys and when they were on offer last month she stocked up on them because they freeze well. My faves from this range are the Aberdeen Angus And Black Pepper ones because they have a lovely meaty flavour and the pepper doesn't stand out too much because I'm not mad on stuff that is too peppery but this one is just right. I think you can taste that they have used Aberdeen Angus beef in these because of the meaty flavour and it tastes loads better than just plain beef. There are roasted onions in the sausages and they give it a wicked sweet and ...  Read the complete review

For breakfast this morning I just fancied a sausage sandwich and was pleased when I remembered I'd bought a pack of Aberdeen Angus and Black Pepper sausages from the Sainsbury's Taste The Difference range. I love these sausages and can't believe I haven't reviewed them before as I honestly think they are the best sausage on the market! There are six sausages in a pack and even raw they look very meaty and like they will have a good texture. I find them best grilled for a sandwich as they retain their shape well and cook uniformly all round the sausage, I have cooked them in the oven and also done them in the George Foreman with the lid open. I haven't ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Aberdeen Angus Black Pepper Sausages: A Good Meaty Sausage! (193 words)

These lovely sausages are on offer on in Sainsburys for 2 packets for £4.50 at the moment. They are a good size sausage and are fat enough to provide a nice meal out of just 2 sausages accompanied with potato and veg. The flavour is the best though as they taste really meaty. They are not fatty and gristly like cheap versions can be and the Aberdeen Angus beef is really pronounced in the flavour. They are "enriched" with roasted onions and you can taste this in the overall mix but the black pepper "thankfully" is almost indistinguishable and therefore they are not a spicy sausage. They cook very nicely in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review You really can taste the difference. (202 words)

These sausages are on offer at the moment until 26/5/09 at only £1.72 per pack of 6. They are usually priced at £2.59 per pack but you can usually find them at 2 for £4.50 or similar. Although higher priced that other sausages of a similar kind, they are well worth it as you really can taste the difference. These sausages are fat and lean with little gristle. They are made of Aberdeen Angus beef (as the name suggests) infused with roasted onions, which you can really taste, adding a great flavour. This said I am not a big fan of onions on their own but the flavour isn't overbearing and tastes delicious with the beef. The sausage is also enriched with ...  Read the complete review
