Tuna is a healthy versatile product that is often reached for in our household. Having always purchased tuna in brine I was quickly converted when I accidently picked up a tin of tuna in spring water. Tuna in spring water offers in my opinion a fresher cleaner taste, the lovely soft taste of the tuna is not over masked by salty water or leave an oily residue in your mouth (as with the tuna in sunflower oil). The tin I buy is usually part of a value four tin pack at around £3.80. Although I often find that they are on some special offer which is just a nice bonus. The tin contains 200g net weight and 150g drained weight of tuna. I quite like the allergy ... Read the complete review

My love of tuna is not shared by my wife or kids. My wife is vegetarian and my kids, well lets just say that they don't like the look or smell, so that just leaves me. Now with this in mind I have to be careful with the quantity that I buy as decanting into containers is a pain, especially for something that can smell quite distinctly. Anyone who shares these needs can relax in the knowledge that Sainsbury's tuna in spring water is here to our rescue. They come in packs of 3 x 80g at a cost £1.25. This works out at just under 42 pence per tin, which is very good value in my opinion. The packaging is not the value basics range but rather a standard Sainsbury ... Read the complete review

We like tuna very much, so I buy 2-3 times a month a value pack of 4 cans. I prefer tuna in vegetable oil but sometimes I buy the spring water version as well. We tried some other brands as well but this one is really great. I like that the content is really chunk not only little pieces of fish. ¤¤¤ Price ¤¤¤ I buy a pack of four cans, which means 4x200 g for 3.69 pounds. ¤¤¤ Package ¤¤¤ The four cans are put on each other and are wrapped together in a blue - turquoise wrapper. There is a slight difference between the vegetable and spring water versions, so you have to read the label if you don't want to fail your favourite. ... Read the complete review

I am a tuna fiend, usually stress out if there is any less than 4 tins in the kitchen cupboard, also, having been a tuna snob, I always only ever bought the named brands such as john west or princess. However, on a visit to my parents, my mum presented me with a jacket potato with this product and I have to say I was pleasently surprised. The tuna itself comes in spring water which drains easily and you are therefore not left with that oily feeling and taste that sunflower oil leaves. The tuna itself was a very impressive pink, healthy colour, with no black bits or hard bits and were good solid chunks rather that that flakey stuff you would expect to get with ...
