I've also added some dried apricots to add a bit of extra moisure and different flavours. It also helps me get enough calcium for the baby, which is important. The really important thing in this kind of cereal I think is that the flakes are easy to eat and not sharp or too big and that there is enough fruit to have a bit in each mouthful to make it tasty and ...more

Premium Review Sainsbury's Wholegrain Fruit & Fibre Cereal: Cheap fruity and fibre- give it a try (303 words)

This is a relativly cheap cereal which is under £2 for a large box and contains wholegrain flakes, dried apples, dried banana chips, raisins and coconut chips. I'm not someone who has traditionally eaten cereal for breakfast, although if I buy one I tend to have a different one everytime. However I have found this cereal, now in a purple box, has become a real staple for me since I've been pregnant. I have this in the evening more than I do in the morning but have found it really positive for getting both wholegrain fibre which I need to try to keep high, but also dried fruit which goes towards 1 a day. As a result of the credit crunch I have had recourse to try and reduce my shopping bill. One of the steps I have taken has been to switch to supermarkets own brand products. The packet is a purple colour and contains quite a bit of useful information. The packaging itself uses a minimum of 85% recyled cardboard. It also states that if every Sainsbury's customer recycled their cereal box, 750 tonnes of cardboard would be re-used every year - that's the equivalent of 101 double decker buses! ...  Read the complete review

I absolutely love and adore cereal. In fact along with bread I know that it forms the majority of my weekly diet! I love it cos it's simple to prepare, quick and I go for sweetish ones to eat late at night (my preferred time for eating the stuff) and I eat it when I have sweet cravings. I get through boxes in a week and don't feel guilty at all cos its cereal after all lol My Mother gets me a couple of boxes a week and my favourite kind of cereal is fruit & fibre type of flakes cos I like the fruit content and as I say I like a bit of sweetness and fruit gives me this in a healthy way. My Mum shops at many different stores depending on her mood and this ...  Read the complete review

I am going to write this review quickly and simply as i possibly can so that i don't have to make you (reader) read too much. The taste is absolutely delicious and i would definantly buy it again. As soon as you put it in your mouth you can taste all the flavors instantly and also this cereal has a divine smell that i would kill for. It is made from wholegrain so it is good for you also the company that made this have tried their best to make this as healthy as they possibly could. This cereal definantly ranges in both quality and quantity because it tastes good and has lots of cereal in one average sized packet. When ever i eat a full ...  Read the complete review
