I think one thing most people are likely to agree on is that, when you buy an own brand product that is as cheap as you can get it, there's no use complaining if it's of a lesser quality than other brands that cost more or are more renowned for quality rather than price. The weather's quiter good at the moment. We're having a run of it, and of course this brings out the desire to have ice cream. As a kid, I always liked choc ices, and as we were in Sainsbury's, I thought I'd get a packet of these. In comparison with other cheap brands, such as Tesco value or Somerfield's value range, these are quite well priced, coming in a 60p or thereabouts for a pack of 10 ... Read the complete review

With the lovely spring weather that we've had over the last couple of weeks (albeit on and off) I thought that perhaps i'd get some choc ices in the freezer as my little girl loves them as she can hold them herself. I came across the basics range of choc ices in Sainsburys (they are 60p for 10) and thought I would give them a try. As with any basics range the packaging is basic cardboard and the wrappers are plain. When it comes to the choc ices themselves, they are of relatively normal size and the chocolate on the outside is crisp and relatively chocolatey.
