I usually buy the supermarket's own-brand of vinegar but recently found Sarson's at a reduced price so decided to buy it. I always add a dash to any meat dish because it has great tenderising qualities. Sarson's has been making their distinctive product for over 200 years and little seems to have changed. Sure, it doesn't go down that much, but every now and then if we have chips or if I need it for cooking or something else, it's there, just like my herbs and spices. Sarson's vinegar first came onto the market in 1794, when Thomas Sarson created it from malt barley. Since its inception, it has been owned by various companies, and is currently owned by premier Foods. The bottle it comes in is pear shaped with a flip ...
