It's been years since I saw these crisps then all of a sudden members of dooyoo are writing reviews about them and I'm wondering where on earth they've managed to buy them. Next thing I know our local Heron store has started stocking 6 packs of Seabrooks Beefy crisps for 99p. The beef flavour are my favourites but they are also available in canadian ham, cheese and onion, cream cheese and chives, prawn cocktail, sea salted, sea salt and vinegar, tomato ketchup, unsalted and worcester sauce. I kind of get the feeling this is like a relaunch as I'm sure there didn't used to be so many flavours.

Each bag is 31.8g and has 168 calories and 9.0g of fat. That's actually alot of fat even for crisps and I've never checked this before now! They contain no msg and are made using sunflower oil and sea salt.

The packet has changed since the picture above and is now a foil type pack with the flavour emblazoned across the top and Seabrooks logo in the middle. They also have a website which is on the pack but I haven't visited it yet, it's www.seabrookcrisps.com for anyone who wants to have a look.

So onto the product. I've always loved Seabrooks but as I said earlier they just haven't been available for years around our way. They are crinkle cut and crunchy. When I say crinkle cut I don't mean thick like McCoys, they are like normal crisps but crinkle cut. They are a bit greasier than I remember though, I don't know if this is the recipe or my adult palate. They are extremely tasty though, the ridges hold alot of flavour.

Overall I do like these, where I buy them from they are cheap and they taste great even if they are a little bit greasy. The fat content worries me though! Four stars from me and recommended as a treat.

Summary: Recommended but not too many, think of the fat!
