I like cereal bars, probably more than biscuits and I always make sure we have some in the house for when I feel a little peckish. I've always preferred the sultana and nut varieties to chocolate or berry flavoured choices but when my favourites where out of stock recently I decided to give these little gems a try. n my quest for a low-fat diet to reduce my cholesterol level, I've been looking for healthy cereal bars to take to work or nibble on while at home during the day. I had for some time been overdoing my consumption of plain chocolate on the pretext that it contained antioxidants and was good for the heart, but I recently had to admit that I was ignoring the fact that it contained far too much saturated fat and so I began to limit myself to one or two squares a day. When I'm in a hurry in the mornings I often do not get the chance to sit down to eat breakfast. Normally I tend to grab a yoghurt and a glass of fruit juice before I rush out of the door to start my day. However, I'm one of those people who just doesn't function at all well without a decent breakfast and try as I might I just cannot raise my weary frame from my bed any earlier than 6am when my alarm currently goes off.
