I love cooking, but sometimes I just don't have the time to go the whole hog and cook dishes from scratch. And takeaways while delicioud, can be pricey. This is where pre-prepared sauces come in very handy . I've been a fan of Sharwoods Sauces for a long time - my dads a bit of a curry nut, and when I was living at home, we'd have at least one a week, always with a Sharwoods sauce . When I moved out, I was already biased towards the brand, and kept on buying it . I like Sharwood's sauces. We always have one or two in the stock cupboard. This is a mild curry sauce flavoured with coconut, cardamon and saffron. It has a lower fat content than the non light version. To be honest it doesn't taste any different to me. It is a creamy sauce which goes well with chicken and pork. I have also used it with smoked fish. I don't think it would be a good accompaniment for more subtle flavoured fish because the coconut taste would overpower it.
