Advantages: Taste great, melt in your mouth

Disadvantages: Not very filling

I can still vividly remember the TV ad with the family where they're eating these and the dad comes out with that immortal line: 'Crispy things don't melt. They CRUNCH!' This clever little piece of advertising, which depicts these KP Skips to be a crisp that can 'melt' on your tongue, was the reason I started eating these. It hs obviously worked, because I love them.

Desribing them is a bit tricky. It's almost like the shape of a large buttercup, with a pale orange colour accompanied by four or five darker lines stemming from the base up to the cusp of the lip, much like on the bottom right hand corner of the bag in the product picture above.

They taste lovely, and a lot of this effect must be accredited to the texture as much as the subtle prawn flavour you get from them. They are crispy before you eat them, but they really do 'melt' as soon as you put them on your tongue. You can almost feel them soak up the moisture as they go in, softening immediately and releasing the nice prawn flavour that help make them so popular. This flavour is just about right.

I find them a nice variation on the regular packet of crisps. They are a crisp snack, but something just that little bit different that can make a lot of difference when it comes to remembering them. They are corn snacks, really, as opposed to crisps, but are often put in the same bracket due to their being in a packet and the fact that they are eaten like crisps.

They are very light and as a result a standard packet of them is around the 20g mark, and gives you under 100 calories. They should sting you around 35p depending on where you get them from, and this is a price well worth paying, in my opinion, for a quality product. The only problem is that, because they are very light, they are also not very filling, so whereas you may be getting what seems like a whole packet of 'crisps', in reality you just get a slight snack, one that will probably need a bt of a top up to fill you up!

Overall, it's a quality product from KP, but don't rely on them to fill you up.

Summary: Great tasting prawn flavoured corn snack from KP

I'm guessing they're not filling due to the lightness of the whole melting thing lol. I do agree with the majority, like Hula Hoops or Wotsits, you need several bags at one to fill a hole.
