Advantages: Taste great and pretty healthy considering they are crisps.

Disadvantages: -

Recently, while looking for a midnight snack, I came across these at the back of my cupboard and, after having checked they were still in date, proceeded to eat them while watching the movie 'Labor pains' (I'll save my opinons on that for another time). Back to the crisps, however, and they were delicious.

The packaging:
Skips have, has far as I can remember, always had bright yellow packaging. On the front, the word 'Skips' is written in swirly orange bubble writing and there are several promises and claims including the fact that Skips now has 50% less saturated fat than they did in 2006, no artificial colours, less than 100 calories per pack and no MSG. All of this sounds pretty good, but what about the taste...

The taste:
When you open the pack, you are met with several pale yellow potato snacks that are shape like a child's attempt at drawing a flower. If you put one on your tongue and close your mouth, it will melt pretty easily which distinguishes it from most other crisps. This uniquely soft texture is one of the reasons I really like eating skips. The other is the flavour. The pack I was eating was prawn cocktail flavour, but this tastes very different to the prawn cocktail walker's variety. This is more subtle tastes sweet and tangy rather than the more overpowering taste of the walker's. I quite like the taste and the crisps are very moreish meaning I can polish of a pack a lot quicker than I would like to.

Nutritional information:
At only 89 calories per pack, Skips are healthier than most other crisps out there. Although they do contain 5.0g of fat, only 0.5g of this is the bad, saturated kind so even this isn't too bad.

Overall, Skips are a delicious snack to have when our feeling peckish. I wouldn't however recommend having them with your lunch as the prawn cocktail taste and subsequent aftertaste may ruin the taste of the rest of your lunch. As a snack, however, skips are great and their subtle taste combined with their melt-in-your-mouth texture means I will definitely be having these again.

Summary: Yummy!!
