br>KP Skips always remind me of when I was young. They were my favourite crisps because there were just so many ways to eat them. I used to like licking off the prawn cocktail flavouring first and then letting them melt slowly in my mouth, but you could also just munch them like any other crisp!

Originally, you could only buy Skips in Prawn Cocktail flavour, but now you can also buy the Pickled Onion flavour. I have tried this, but still prefer the original Prawn Cocktail flavour.

Skips come in a bright, shiny yellow packet. They are clearly designed with children in mind because the front is bombarded with action and colour. 'Skips' appears in wacky, red lettering and 'Prawn Cocktail' appears in much smaller lettering underneath. As well as yellow and red, there is a splash of blue in the word 'Flavour' and this helps make the packet more alluring.

The back of the packet is a shiny silver colour. Here you will find 'Tongue Tastic Facts', the sort of facts and figures children might find interesting, and the usual information like ingredients and nutrition information. It is quite amusing to see short annotations scattered about, saying things like 'Boring!', pointing to ingredients, and 'our mum made us write this bit'!

As soon as you open the packet, you are hit by a strong smell of prawn cocktail. Some people might find this off-putting, but I actually quite like it. It is both sharp and tangy, and very enticing.

For those of you who don't know, Skips are round and quite small. They are yellow and have pink lines protruding from a central point in the middle, splitting them into segments. I think they look unique compared to other crisps, but I suppose this is part of their appeal to children.

They taste quite 'corny' (if you pardon the pun) and have a sharp, piquant flavour. I like the way they melt as soon as you pop them in your mouth. This makes
a pleasant change from the crunchiness normally associated with crisps.

Skips are gluten free, but they are not suitable for vegetarians or vegans (according to the KP website).

Single packets of Skips retail for around 20p each, but it is definitely better to buy a multipack. These are excellent value for money, and the larger the size of the multipack, the better the value for money. A multipack of six costs 81p in Tesco and Asda, which is 13.5p per bag (!), but multipacks of twelve can be bought in Tesco and Sainsbury's for a mere £1.46, which is just 12p per bag!

Overall, I really like KP Skips and find them to be excellent value for money. My only criticism is that there are not enough in a packet, but this is a criticism which can be said of other well-known brands of crisps too.
