Skittles are my new addiction. I cant stop munching them so i'm going to let everybody know why.

Packet

The skittles packet is red with a rainbow and lots of skittles falling out the rainbow. The size of the packet does vary from fun size right up to big bags... yum.
The bag i have just eaten is 180g and has an easy open easy close feature. This is just a slicky bit of tape on the back that you peel off to close the packet. I have used this on one occation when i had to stop eating and hide the packet from my man. I cant share these little buggers so i hide the packet. It works well, the sticky tape peels off easily and sticks the packet closed without fuss and can be reused over and over again.

The skittles

There are 5 flavours of skittles each a different colour.

yellow - lemon
green - lime
red - strawberry
purple - blackcurrent
orange - well orange obviously.

Each skittle is about the size of a medium sized pea and has a 's' imprinted on the hard outer shell. It has a hard outer shell and soft chewy inside.

The taste

Heavenly. It is impossible to just eat one or two of these little fruit pebbles.
As soon as you bite into the hard outer shell a burst of fruit yumminess explodes in your mouth. The chewy inside has so much flavour it makes your mouth water.
I normally pour a small handfull into my mouth at a time because all the flavours mix together and you can go on chewing for ages. And when that mouthfull has finished its time for another!

Skittles are available everywhere (thank God) and are quite cheap. My big bag was only 99p from my local shop which also sells the standard bags at 42p.

Overall

These are so yummy and will be great for hot summer days. They dont melt like chocolate and taste better than real fruit. Very recommended especialy to people who havent had them for a few years, honestly, you'll wonder why you havent bought a packet in so long.
They are also good for playing games with, after a few glasses of wine the person who pulls out a green one has to eat the contents of a tea bag. How fun.
